Dr. Theodore Gerstle

Dr. Theodore “Theo” Gerstle is a Harvard-trained plastic surgeon based in Lexington, Kentucky, known for his patient-centered approach and commitment to natural-looking results. Since entering private practice in 2014 at Lexington Plastic Surgery, Dr. Gerstle has built a reputation for combining technical precision with honest communication and personalized care.

Originally from Westchester, New York, Dr. Gerstle attended Iona Prep High School, where he played lacrosse and ran cross country. He later earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point. After completing his military commitment, he pursued medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he served as class president and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

Dr. Gerstle completed his plastic surgery residency through the Harvard Combined Plastic Surgery Residency Program in Boston. His specialties include facial rejuvenation, breast surgery, body contouring, reconstructive surgery, and migraine treatment using both surgical and non-surgical methods.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Gerstle enjoys woodworking and spending time with his three children. He believes leadership in medicine begins with listening, trust, and putting patients first.
